Warrior doll “Fujin Raijin”

This doll represent a young warrior inspired by the Japanese gods of wind (Fujin) and thunder ( Raijin), two powerful figures from Japanese mythology. 

He holds a spear in a dynamic pose and wears a katana at his belt, evoking the attributes of a samurai. The doll’s costume is embroidered with detailed motifs of Fujin and Raijin on each sleeve, with gold thread adding texture to the figures. 

The doll's golden helmet and calm face symbolize inner force and protection. The set rests on a black lacquered base adorned with a calligraphic plaque bearing the characters 風神雷神 (Fujin Raijin).

Traditionally displayed during Children's day (Kodomo no hi, May 5), this doll is part of the May decorations (Gogatsu Ningyō). It is given as a gift to wish boys courage, health, and success.
