This chosticks name Kiza comes from the verb Kizamu which means sculpted, carved.
Those perfectly chiseled out shapes make the chopsticks very comfortable to use.
We can also notice that they look like wands, let's do some magic with your meals!
Japanese urushi lacquer is made from the sap of the urushi tree, a tradition dating back to the Jomon period (6000BC).
Laquered objects (Shikki) are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be quickly dried after washing.
