An elegant crescent moon, mikazuki, made of mother-of-pearl (nacre) and cherry blossom, sakura, beautifully decorate this pair of chopsticks. Deep black colored and laquered finish for a great effect!

Japanese urushi lacquer is made from the sap of the urushi tree, a tradition dating back to the Jomon period (6000BC).
Laquered objects (Shikki) are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be quickly dried  after washing.
