This noren represents some kawaii (cute) Tanuki, each one with a different flower drawn on his stomach. The Japanese characters on the right side mean "bring happiness and luck".

Animal similar to a raccoon, the Tanuki is also a forest spirit able to change its appearance. It is often shown with a bottle of sake, like on this noren, and a big belly it uses as a drum. Symbol of luck and prosperity, the Tanuki has been existing in Japanese tales for many centuries.
