Wonderful chopsticks made in the purest Kyo Yuuzen style, a traditional Japanese embroidery and dyeing method which takes its origins in Kyoto where it is still used for Kimono making.

Japanese urushi lacquer is made from the sap of the urushi tree, a tradition dating back to the Jomon period (6000BC).
Laquered objects (Shikki) are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be quickly dried  after washing.
