This noren draws his inspiration from the Japanese nature, with its rivers, its waterfalls and one of the most appreciated fish in the archipelago: carps, or Koi in Japanese. Koi no Taki Nobori means Carps swimming up the waterfall.

In the Japanese tradition, Koi are a symbol of love and virility. This variety of carps is often found in ponds of Japanese gardens. As we can see on this noren, Koi exists in a myriad of colors, most often shimmering.
