Made with beautiful cotton fabric, this noren represents a beautiful woman tea master in a tea house of Edo (ancient name of Tokyo).

The inscription on the top left of the noren represents Kitagawa Utamaro's signature. Known for his representation of ukiyo-e of delicate women, this piece is taken from a 6 pieces work named: "The six famous beauties" chosen among the most beautiful women of the capital.
