These colorful and sturdy horses, known as Miharu-goma (三春駒) or Miharu Horses, are among the oldest traditional Japanese toys, deeply rooted in the craftsmanship of the Miharu region. Carved from wood and meticulously hand-painted, these decorative objects were once given as protective talismans to children, travelers, and warriors.

Each Miharu-goma is a unique piece: one features a vibrant red, symbolizing energy and prosperity, while the other, in black represents wisdom and longevity.
Traditionally, they are placed in homes to attract good luck and ward off evil spirits.
