Bento Boxes

Bento refers to meals prepared in advance at home or bought and presented in boxes.
In Japan you can buy bentos in combinis (little supermarket opened 24/24) and train stations.
Salary men, students and travelers are big consumers of bentos.
Many people prepare their bento themselves at home and bring it with them at work or at school. This more economical solution also allows a total liberty regarding the composition of the meal.
Bento boxes conceived to contain food seem to have appeared in Japan more than 400 years ago...

There is today a huge choice of boxes from disposable plastic ones found in convenience stores to the traditional ones in lacquered wood. There are also bento boxes in aluminum and hard plastic. Choice of colors and patterns is also very wide and you can easily find classic monochrome containers as well as boxes with the popular Hello Kitty on it.
We offer both traditional bento boxes in lacquered wood and modern ones in plastic. These boxes are both beautiful and eco-friendly as they can be used indefinitely. Also they are very resistant and perfectly hygienic.
Note that some of these boxes are not usable in the microwave and should not be washed in dishwasher.
All these bento boxes are made in Japan.
