This five black bowls come in a set. The technique used to apply the lacquer is called kodai tamari. A black lacquer cover a layer of red lacquer.
Some parts of the bowls will change color along the years which make each piece unique.
Its flat shape makes it perfect for rice.
 
Shikki objects are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be dried quickly after washing.
