This is a pair of matching soup bowls . These red and black smooth shaped bowls have cherry blossom drawn on the inside as well as on the outside.
The technique used to apply lacquer gives a slightly see through finish.
Meoto literally means married couple. Meoto items are always in pairs, such as chopsticks, tea cups, bowls for rice and soup.
They make excellent gift for bridal, couples and parents.

Shikki objects are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be dried quickly after washing.
