Shoukado type bento boxes were originally used to serve a simple meal during the traditional tea ceremony. This 4 parts boxes native from Kyoto was conceived to present the food in a clear, simple and elegant way.
It includes a wooden slate, a lacquered bowl, a ceramic plate and a zaru (bamboo basket).
Shokado boxes can be used for setting up a home party or for special occasions.
Shikki objects are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be dried quickly after washing.
